Size Matters
June 10, 2011
By James Wood
The pyramids of Egypt rise up out of the sand on the Giza plateau defying imagination. In sheer size and the amount of labor required to build them they are truly wonders, which earned them the moniker even in ancient times. Of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Great Pyramid at Giza is the only one to survive. Not a one of the other six wonders was diminutive.
From huge statues like the Colossus of Rhodes and the statue of Zeus to giant buildings like the Temple of Artemis and the Lighthouse at Alexandria to immense undertakings like the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus. Humanity has always celebrated big things. There’s something about human beings that makes us want things to be big. Our brains attach a larger significance to larger things. It may not be fair, but there’s a reason that taller people tend to make more money and get promoted more often. We subconsciously attach more importance to bigger things and people.
This means that when you want to share a message with people, the bigger it is the more it will stick. When selling advertisements in newspapers and magazines there’s a premium put on the full-page ad. Your message is important and you need to share it with people. The best way to emphasize the importance and connect it to your audience is to go big.
The Clarity Matrix display system can get as big as your imagination. If you wanted a display wall the size of the Statue of Zeus standing at Olympia in Greece you could build it. Forty feet high and forty feet wide using 231 displays perfectly aligned with remote, redundant power supplies and powerful, versatile video processing. Of course you can scale the Clarity Matrix display to any size you want and test drive the configuration using the Clarity Matrix Calculator. Find out how many displays you need on your ten by 12 foot wall or determine the size that would be covered by a matrix of five displays high by three wide (100 square feet). Let your imagination run wild and we’ll create a wonderful reality from it.
Your message is valuable. Let your audience know the value by making it big. Because the truth is, size really does matter.
